KNX Home System and Building Management System (BMS) otherwise known as Building Automation System (BAS) is the use of technological solutions for homes and buildings. Their purpose is to improve safety levels and convenience, to simplify daily activities, provide greater control over the building or home and increase energy savings.

The KNX system offers a new electric system, equipped with a “smart element”. Thanks to this item, house or building is able to actively communicate and unilaterally through so-called interface devices. Full integration of different systems (lighting, temperature control, security, etc.) realizes the creation of scenarios. These scenarios consist of several tasks that can be performed at the same time and which can be activated with a single gesture through touch-screen devices, tablets, personal computers, smartphones etc.

Thanks to remote monitoring over the internet, you can make sure everything is under control even when you are not at home. You can “ask questions” in your home for the status of all systems or you can request it to perform a command.

One of the strengths of the KNX system is that any KNX labelled product does not only relate to the manufacturer but also undergoes conformity tests at KNX laboratories. During these tests, the experts ensure that the device follows the KNX protocol and that its data are encoded by standardized KNX data types. This allows the systems to work with different manufacturers’ equipment, thus providing an additional guarantee to customers through system continuity.
